HCC4 Network of Schools
| Hi Everybody Have a great break ! Well, here we are at the end of a frantic term. Many thanks for all of your work in getting your schools well underway, sorting out all of the usual staffing and other arrangements. It would be clear to all that the focus continues to be on quality teaching and learning and the growth in the expectation that all children and young people ought to be given access to maximise their opportunities. The Easter festival is timed along with the spring rituals in the Northern Hemisphere which also harness beliefs in the concepts of rebirth and renewal, and it is hoped that for all of you and your school students, staff and community the coming break is a chance to rejuvenate and reflect, ready for a continued focus on ensuring that we can all collectively feel proud of the achievements of our Public Education system. Have a really good holiday when you get to it on Thursday afternoon ! PARS visits Many thanks to all of you who have already played host to a term one PARS visit. It has been good to hear the strategies which are being used to look at what the data is telling us and then to plan how best to go about the task of improvement, or consolidation of good work. Term 2 HCC4 and HCC5 Principals' meeting Our term 2 meeting will be held on Tuesday 1st May at the Phoenix Club at Mayfield. The agenda will include a session with Deputy Director General Trevor Fletcher, who will be also attending the Schools on Show Conference at the Town Hall. This week Along with PARS visits to Wakefield, Cardiff PS, Fern Bay, Newcastle East and The Junction, I'll also be attending the Anzac Service at the Civic Theatre and pening the DesignTech - Outstanding Major Works exhibition at the Hunter Museum. We will also be farewelling Jocelyn Ringland from her role as SEO2 Student Services, as Jocelyn moves toward retirement. Have a good four days !! Roger
