| Hi Everybody PARS Visits. It has been good to have the chance to meet with many of you in the last week. If you have not yet booked your PARS visit then please do so as soon as possible by using the online calendar. Permanent Link to Term One PARS visits - Online bookings now invited Election minus five . . No doubt this week may see the potential for some last minute positioning from various candidates for the State Election coming up on Saturday. Please ensure that any media enquiries are referred to Sven Wright so that we can co-ordinate responses, Schools on Show, Learning & Leadership Conference May 1-2 Newcastle City Hall. Don't forget that this is coming up next term. A number of our schools have nominated items and programs for inclusion and it looks like being a great showcase for the Region. Great school and community effort Congratulations to the school and its community at Glendon School whose Hydrotherapy pool was opened on Friday following the combined use of Investing In Our Schools funds and money from corporate and private sources. The pool will greatly assist in enhancing the programs on offer for Glendon's special needs children. New Scheme Teacher Inductions This week sees the second induction program for New Scheme Teachers to be held on Wed Thu at Kurri TAFE. Due to higher numbers of New Scheme Teachers there will actually now be three of these programs, catering for around 120 New Scheme Teachers. Annual Class Size Audit will be conducted on Monday, 26 March 2007. The Audit will indicate how effective the 2007 realigned staffing formulae have been in achieving the Government’s commitment to reduce classes with Kindergarten students to a statewide average of 20, Year 1 students to a statewide average of 22, and Year 2 students to a statewide average of 24. Please refer to the memo which appeared in last Friday's INPrincipal for all info including the link to enter the data online. This week Visits to Newcastle SSP, Newcastle High, Hunter River Community School, Woodberry, Carrington, Francis Greenway High and Cardiff South Public School. Also an introductory session and after dinner presentation at the New Scheme Teacher induction program and also a presentation to primary Executive staff in the Cardiff area on Wednesday afternoon. This week also sees the AGM for the Hunter Regional P&C on Thursday evening. Have a great week .. Roger
